Sandy and Josh just had their wedding at Salish Lodge last week, but talented photographer Sergio Mottola has already posted some of their pictures on his blog. We are so excited to announce that in conjunction with Sharlane Chase Photography, we are bringing the celebrated wedding show Urban Unveiled back to Benaroya Hall on the evening of Thursday, October 15th. It’s hard to believe that this is the 4th show we are producing. Many of our partners are returning for the event, and we are thrilled about some of the new people who will be joining the scene. This year watch for additions in the area of catering, which means more sumptuous hors d’oeuvres to sample! Last years theme was “New Hollywood Glamour,” and the sexy look was a hit. This time were taking things from the West Coast to the East Coast and going for “South Beach Style.” Anyone who has come to Urban Unveiled knows that it is more than a wedding show; it is a celebration. It is a chance to get dressed up in cocktail attire, meet with fabulous wedding vendors, enjoy incredible food prepared by Seattle’s best caterers, sip fine wines, watch an inspiring fashion show by the legendary Luly Yang, and have a chance to win valuable prizes.
Above is the 2 page ad that will make its offical debut when the next issue of Seattle Bride Magazine comes out in July. The awesome picture was taken by none other than talented Urban Unveiled partner John & Joseph Photography. Make sure to check back for more exciting updates about the show; you can also become fans of Urban Unveiled on Facebook.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting one of our fabulous 2007 couples, Brea & Andrew, at their lovely West Seattle home for a BBQ. It’s hard to believe that its been nearly 2 years since their wedding! We had such a great time catching up with this amazing couple. Since their wedding took place before we had a blog, we thought we would use our get together as an excuse to post pictures from their lovely day. Thanks to Abie Wolfe Photography for all of the shots.

Brea and Andrew held their wedding at the picturesque Carnation Farm, which is now home to Camp Korey. The wedding took place in the garden, and the reception was held in the covered open air hippodrome.

The flowers were designed by Miki of Miki’s Flowers. She created a look that went with the beautiful surroundings in shades of white, ivory, yellow, green, and brown. To add a punch of color, the bridesmaids carried bright orange bouquets that popped off of their apple green dresses.

Tallant House Bakery provided a cake thats beauty was only surpased by its flavor!

We obtained a variety of styles of linens from BBJ Linen in shades of taupe, gold, brown, and chartreause. Catering was provided by the always incredible Seasoned in Seattle.

It was a big hit when Brea and Andrew immerged for their first dance in completely new attire! DJ Leslie of Seattle Parties provided musical entertainment that kept the crowd dancing all night long. Andrews’ band, Sunderlyn, also played a set that had everyone cheering and on their feet.

We wish the very best to this couple as they approach their 2nd wedding anniversary!

We had a fabulous time participating in the Seattle Wedding Show earlier this year. Being a part of the show is like going to a class reunion, with hundreds of our friends and peers under one roof. It’s always a pleasure designing our booth and partnering with incredible vendors who help make our vision a reality.
At the Seattle Wedding Show we always use chartreuse, which is our company color. Last year we focused on chartreuse, black & white (click here for pictures), so this year we wanted to interject more color. We have had an absolute love affair with yellow, and orange is one of our favorites, so we decided to bring in citrus tones. This also gave us the excuse to use sugary orange slices candy as favors…and snacks! We found fabulous linens at BBJ Linen that acted as a base for our table. Christiane of Flora Nova Designs wowed us once again with her inspired floral arrangements.

Sheryl of Paper Moxie created lovely tags for the bride & grooms chairs, as well as a table sign, and coaster favors that read “eat, drink, and be merry.” Sheryl’s sense of design is always amazing. We think she can read minds because she always understands exactly what we, and our clients, are looking for.

Pedersen’s Rentals supplied us with china & lovely white chivari chairs, while we obtained fun and contemporary stemware from Totally Tabletops. Travis and I had to dress the part, so we wore ties and pocket squares made by our goddess, Luly Yang.

A special thank you to Azzura Photography who took the pics in the opening collage and Janet Klinger Photography for taking the remaining shots.

We are delighted that talented photographer Evrim Icoz recently sent us pictures from the wedding of one of our fabulous 2009 couples, Shaharzad & Bryce. The couple held their Western-Indian fusion winter wedding & reception at Pickering Barn in Issaquah. It was a lovely day and Evrim was able to take advantage of the surroundings to capture some amazing outdoor shots of the couple.

Shaharzad shows off the fabulous mendhi designs on her hands.

The touching candlelit ceremony, which was performed by a friend of the couple, was held in the Hay Barn section of Pickering Barn.

Following the ceremony Ismaili traditions took place among the families as the guests observed.

The cocktail hour and dinner took place in the Dairy Barn section of the facility and was decorated in the color of the evening, orange! We obtained lush linens and gold beaded napkin rings from Pedersen’s Rentals, and gold silverware from AA Party Rentals. Dana of Dana’s Flowers used natural elements such as rocks and branches to create unique centerpieces that fit the couple’s style. We also rented plenty of specialty lighting from PNTA to create a warm orange glow in the room. The couple named the tables after their favorite soccer teams. An abundance of delicious Indian cuisine food was provided by Saffron Grill.

Following dinner, Shaharzad & Bryce and their 200 guests returned to the Hay Barn for lots of dancing! Sean with Seattle Parties kicked off the dancing by DJ’ing traditional Indian music followed by contemporary hits later in the evening. Shaharzad changed out of her stunning white and gold wedding sari and into a beautiful blue punjabi suit so she could really kick up her heals. The guests were also treated to a performance by one of the grooms favorite bands, McTuff. The entire evening was captured by Jeremy with Endless Love Productions, and we can’t wait to see the video!

You can check out the first two episodes at NW Brides TV.
Throughout the year new episodes will be posted as we meet with the rest of the vendors we will be collaborating with to help make Angela & Jonathan’s dream day come true. Following the big day, you will even be able to see a highlight video from the wedding, so make sure to check back!

Michael and Nui are another of our fabulous 2008 couples. We were honored to be a part of their commitment ceremony, celebrating their ten year anniversary together.

Michael and Nui’s celebration took place at the versatile Pravda Studios on Capitol Hill, where 120 guests took part in the festivities. Steve and Larry of Steve Smith Photography were there to capture all of the day’s special moments.

To start the event in style the couple had a pre-ceremony cocktail hour for the guests to mingle and sample great drinks and appetizers from Seasoned in Seattle. Guests listened to the sounds of Ambience, a wonderful local Seattle jazz quartet headed by Leah Natale, who performed during the pre-ceremony gathering, the ceremony, the cocktail hour and even the first dance.

Ceremony, cocktail hour and reception decor was done by their friend, designer Patrick Sangkhasuwarn.

Ambience was a great compliment to the sounds of DJ Leslie with Seattle Parties who had the crowd whipped into a disco dancing frenzy later in the evening. To keep the energy going guests were treated to an assortment of desserts from the fabulous Bakery Nouveau.

Judy & Zeev are one of our fabulous 2008 couples. We recently received pictures of their event from the talented Ken of Azzura Photography who captured the day. Working with the couple and her family was a true joy and wonderful adventure.

The wedding and reception took place at the grand Hyatt Regency Bellevue, with incredible catering by Nosh Away. This premiere kosher caterer kept the guests well fed throughout the night. Prior to the ceremony there was a sushi station, carving station, and a mid-Eastern inspired station for guests to enjoy. Prior to dinner raspberry nectarine sorbet intermezzo was served in heart shaped ice sculptures. After the incredible feast the foyer of the ballroom was transformed into a dessert paradise, complete with a flambe station with made-to-order bananas foster and cherries jubilee; creme puffs, French apple & lemon meringue tarts, petit fours, a fresh fruit display, an espresso cart, a chocolate fountain with dipping items such as brownie bites, marshmallows, lady fingers, rice krispy treats, and more. Its a good thing they had all that sugar to keep them going…after all, the party continued past 2:00 am!

We worked closely with Rented Elegance to create a vision in Tiffany blue, white, and chocolate brown that reflected Judy & Zeev’s style & wedding colors. Multiple styles of centerpieces created visual interest while white flowers, crystals, and candlelight tied everything together. We found the perfect linens for the event at BBJ Linen & Pedersen’s Rentals.

Music was a high priority for this fun group, and we had not one, not two, but three incredible bands. The Od Yishama Orchestra, Lady A & the Baby Blues Funk Band, and Shelley & the Curves all kept the guests entertained throughout the evening. By the end of the night Lady A had a new band member, the brides father Joel who took to the mic!

The time of disposable cameras has passed; the waste that they produce, and the expense that they are simply cannot compete with the new option of digital cameras. For example, after buying twenty disposable cameras for each table at your wedding, collecting them all after the wedding, developing them, and realizing that most of the pictures are of your little cousins who had way too much fun with the camera, I’m sure you would be wishing that you had chosen CameraRenter; a new, hip company that we have begun to refer our clients to because the quality, and economic solution that they provide for photos at your wedding is unbeatable…
CameraRenter is a business dedicated to making your day as memorable as possible. This company simply mails easy-to-use digital photo/video cameras to you along with return postage. Next, your job is to place the cameras somewhere accessible to the guests (for best results in photos, the owner of the company suggests handing out the cameras before the ceremony or even before the rehearsal the day before) so that your friends and family can have a great time capturing every moment of your big day. And with each camera able to hold up to 450 photos, you will never want for more! Instructions on how to use the cameras are provided for each guest so that even Grandma and Grandpa will be snapping photos. Finally, after your event, you simply gather the cameras and send them back to the business whereupon the company creates a custom event website that is accessible to all who attended the wedding. You will be able to view the photos from your wedding within only two days after the company receives the cameras. Better yet, you are able to pick and choose the photos you would like to order and have sent directly to you.
The average time that it takes for photos from your wedding day to be developed and returned to you (if taken by a professional photographer) is about two months. Now, we don’t recommend foregoing a photographer by any means, because replacing quality of that level is impossible. However, if you are looking for a convenient and economic solution to replace the disposable camera idea, or to ease the unrelenting anticipation that waiting for photos can sometimes cause, then Camerarenter is the perfect choice for you. This new hip company provides a service like no other that you won’t want to miss!
