Heather and Chris are one of our fabulous 2008 couples who recently got married at Olympic Sculpture Park. This couple made us smile every time we saw them. These world travelers who are planning to move back to Australia beam with joy and it was such a pleasure to assist them with their wedding.
Brides & grooms come to us with all sorts of ideas when it comes to what they want their wedding to look like, but we’ve never had a more interesting source of inspiration from a couple. Heather & Chris supplied us with an Hermes advertisement that featured elephants with pink and orange painted toenails.

From there, they gave us carte blanche to design the entire event! Thrilled with the challenge, we quickly teamed with the amazing Lea of Florarama Modern Design to create breathtaking floral designs that had a richness of Indian textiles in their vibrant colors.

Sean Patrick O’Reilly officiated the very personal and touching ceremony that included releasing butterflies…a couple of which decided to hang around on Heather’s amazing white and blue Badgley Mischka dress. In addition to the chairs that were provided, Heathers own mom even sewed pillows for seating during the ceremony.

The couple wanted a cocktail party vibe for the reception, so we used traditional and cocktail tables in a variety of sizes and alternated striking fuchsia and orange sequin stitch table linens from Pedersen’s Rentals to infuse additional richness and whimsy into the event.

We also obtained some great furniture from Rented Elegance to create comfortable seating areas within the event.

Sean with Seattle Parties provided incredible music that set the tone for the reception perfectly. TASTE Events had a variety of food stations set up around the space that delighted the taste buds and encouraged mingling. For sweets the couple opted for a variety of cupcakes from Trophy Cupcakes in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. The stunning event was all captured by Stephanie Cristalli, an award winning photographer who captured the colors of the day, and the colors of their inspiring love. We’ll miss Heather & Chris when they move, but now we have a great excuse to go to Australia!
